For our next group project, we were able to self-select our topic and group mates again. As soon as I saw that Edmodo was one of the suggested topics, I quickly signed up for this topic, as Edmodo plays a big role in my current professional growth goals. I assumed that my classmates who signed up for this particular tutorial project would be individuals who were familiar with Edmodo as well and were looking to share their knowledge with others. As it turns out, I am the only person in my group of four who is actively using Edmodo. Initially this concerned me, but as we have gotten into the planning and division of tasks, I think that all of my group members are motivated and keen to learn more about what Edmodo has to offer educators. There is a great deal that I do not know about this online resource and I am sure that I will benefit from this project.
I am also excited about the process that we are taking to get to a polished finished product. We are starting with a basic proposal of our intended goals for our tutorial. We have completed a rationale and overview and we have also outlined the basic shape that our actual tutorial will take. I think that we have a good plan in place to create a useful learning tool in the end. I have included a copy of our tutorial proposal here.
