ETEC 510- Design of Technology Supported Learning Environments
Crafting the story… design is everything.
When writing a story, an author needs to be sure that the story is well structured, logically organized and written in a way that grabs and maintains the readers’ interest. This course provided me with the skills to mindfully design technology-supported learning environments that will increase student engagement and enhance their learning opportunities. Knowing what to look for when selecting and/or designing technology to incorporate in the classroom requires careful consideration. Gathering InformationAs an educator with the hopes of enhancing my students’ learning environment through the use of technology backed by sound pedagogy and best practice, I was very excited about this course. Having already taken ETEC 512 (Applications of Learning Theories to Instruction), going into this course I felt well prepared and was ready to mesh my knowledge of learning theories with innovative and effective design principles in order to create a technology-supported classroom that is mutually beneficial to both myself and my students.
