As the teacher had expected, the first year of her journey proved to be full of both challenges and adventures. The learning curve was very steep and she was forced again and again to extend herself well beyond her comfort zone. Luckily, her classmates were an endless source of information and so many of them were willing to help her overcome the obstacles set before her. Little did she know that the path that stretched out ahead of her was equally fraught with untold snares that could potentially delay her progress. In the very near future, the ‘sink or swim’ format of the wiki project would require her to take risks not ever before taken by her. The villainous Moodle unit was also looming up ahead, posing open source issues which would lead her down countless forum threads in search of the clues to unlock the mysteries of the LMS. Still unaware of the new and hazardous endeavours that still lay before her, the teacher once again headed back out on the trail hopeful that her classmates and professors would continue to guide her on the trail with route markers to ensure her arrival at her final destination.

Please note: During my second year of MET studies, I decided to experiment with a new idea. For each of the four courses taken this year, I maintained a blog in which I tried to document my growth as a learner. I also used my blogs as versatile areas in which I could compile my learning 'gems' for future use. As I developed an e-portfolio within ETEC 565A, the blog for this particular course is very brief and simply refers you to my e-portfolio to view my ongoing reflections.
