ETEC 532- Prezi: My Final Reflections on the Course
In the final week of ETEC 532, we were asked to come up with a visual representation of our own growth and learning in the course. What started out as a hand drawn sketch of a tree with various branches labeled with my big learning moments, evolved into a multimedia Prezi, as I soon realized that a static image was simply not going to be enough to capture all that I wanted to reflect upon. This Prezi includes details surrounding my major learning moments, as well as my learning ‘take aways’ from the course.
I am including this project as an artifact of my own learning, as it not only documents many of the important things that I learned from this particular course, but it also demonstrates my ability to create a presentation that contains multimedia elements that enhance the message that I am trying to convey. I believe that this artifact is also very relevant in that it focuses on the foundational roles that technology, course/unit/lesson content, the students and the teacher all play in creating a successful learning environment for all parties. This is something that I strive for in my own classroom, and this course was monumental in helping me obtain clarity in regard to the role that each element plays in a learning paradigm. I believe that this artifact shows the depth of my learning in this course. In creating this Prezi, I was able to synthesize my course learning to create a framework from which I can base my future teaching endeavours upon. This artifact can promote future learning and growth in a number of ways. I can return to this Prezi to use it as a resource as I continue to change my practice to include the mindful incorporation of technology in my classroom. I also feel that this particular artifact is an example of an element within my e-portfolio that will be of value to my proposed audience. Through my e-portfolio, I hope to share my knowledge with colleagues and other interested educators. I feel that this Prezi would benefit educators who are hoping to take a more blended approach in their own classrooms. It can serve as a learning tool for those teachers who are hoping to learn more about how to establish a solid foundation upon which to build a teaching approach that successfully utilizes technology to enhance student learning opportunities.
If you are unable to view the embedded Prezi below, you can access it here as well.

Please note: For some reason, Prezi dislikes two of the URL links that I used and will not load them properly from within my presentation. If you would like to look at these two examples from the portion of the Prezi called ‘Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom’ here are the links for the two websites that keep resulting in errors when clicked upon from within Prezi:
